Award ceremony and press conference for the 2025 university student competition

On May 19, 2025, our foundation held its annual press conference, during which we presented the most important events of the past year and our plans for the coming year. The award ceremony for our university student competition announced in 2025 also took place at this event. This year, five students submitted entries, three of which were awarded cash prizes and two received certificates of recognition.

The titles of the entries and their authors are as follows:

  • 1st prize: Dorina Dobos – SZTE BTK, master’s student in history – “If a child’s heart had a hundred doors, (…) let joy enter through all 100 doors…” – The story of Margit Pogány and her family.
  • 2nd prize: Andrea Tamásné Jámbor – OR-ZSE, Master’s degree in Jewish Cultural History – The muse of Szeged – The life of Ágota Fischof
  • 3rd prize: Márk Liptai – SZTE BTK, Master’s student in History – Lipót Bartos, a leading figure in the book and paper trade in Szeged and his legacy
  • Certificate of Recognition: Nóra Páncsics – SZTE BTK, BA student in ethnography – The Eisenstädter textile trade and the family
  • Certificate of Recognition: Bálint Sümegi – SZTE JGYPK, BA student in music culture – The life and work of violinist István Erdélyi
