Judit Horváth-Lindberg
Founder
I have been living in Sweden since 1970. I hold multiple university degrees in psychology, social anthropology, and film sociology. However, alongside my studies, I have primarily worked in the fields of refugee affairs and elderly care. Within the Swedish Red Cross, I established a center for refugees who have endured torture, and I also managed several elderly care institutions in the city of Solna.
I have taught at universities, including Uppsala University, on topics related to immigration and refugee issues. My writings and books on these subjects have been published in Swedish, English, and Hungarian.
The word „retirement” is not part of my vocabulary. As long as I live, I have important work to do.

I teach solidarity, intercultural dialogue, and the preservation of human values, which I consider the most important mission of my profession.

Anna Ceglédi
Board Member
I work as a teacher of Hungarian and history in Szeged, at Tisza-parti Elementary School. Jewish culture, religion, and history have interested me since childhood. Together with my students, we have made several short films and participated in projects, primarily focusing on the history of Szeged’s Jewish community. I believe it is essential that, beyond textbooks, we can research and learn about the past and present of Szeged’s Jewish community outside the school walls with my students.
Balázs Tamási PhD.
Board Member
I am the director of the library and a university lecturer at the National Rabbinical Seminary – Jewish University. My research areas are diverse: on one hand, I study the history of ancient, Hellenistic Judaism, and on the other, I research Hebrew book and manuscript collections in Hungary.
I participate in the foundation’s work both for professional reasons, to protect Jewish heritage in Hungary and out of my commitment to Neolog Judaism, and for personal reasons, as my maternal ancestors are from the Szeged area.
